Pivot adjustment

I converted the model from Rhino 8 to Keyshot. Can I keep the Pivot as is or adjust it? I’ve tried and searched, it seems impossible.

when you invoke the move tool on any object or Group, you can click on the little Target Icon, that will bring up a pick list of parts from the Scene Tree, you can than click in the live viewer on the part that you want to act as the pivot. It actually works out pretty well. Although it doesn’t always save that pivot change when going back to it, and i’m not sure why, if its a Gourp thing, or what. So some testing on your specific model would be in order.

Hi,
If you want to keep an object pivot from rhino, you must work with rhino block and set position and orientation you want inside the block. It will keep those informations inside keyshot then.

For me, the pivot has its basic features. I would like to have an option to manipulate the pivot. I’m not talking about selecting objects for the pivot. If you are working with a lot of parts to animate, it may take time to set the pivot and make the animation according to this pivot.

Just like in 3Ds Max, you can change the pivot to suit your needs. For example, you can align the pivot to the bottom-left corner of objects, or the bottom-center, or wherever you need it. And it must always keep this manipulated pivot.
